I am a retired accountant, currently living in Lake Norman (Cornelius), North Carolina. I've been living in Wellington, Florida for the past two years. We didn't lock the doors on our homes during the 1950s. I went to PS 156, JHS 59 and Springfield Gardens HS grad 1969. One lives in Mount Kisco NY and the other lives in Philly PA. It had more of a Long Island "feel." I'm currently living in Princeton, NJ. Life revolved around school, the schoolyard, the LJC, little league and later hanging out on Merrick Road at such establishments as Carmine's Pizza. I loved my childhood and will never forget all my friends who lived there and who I grew up with. It's nice to see I'm not the only one with pangs of nostalgia about Laurelton. I have fond memories of Laurelton, riding bicycles, having hoola hoop contests, playing hop scotch. Life has taken many turns since High School for all of us. One year later I too moved out to Phoenix and have been here ever since. Now I have to live for another 30 years to enjoy it :-).
